BAND PRACTICE will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 8:00 PM
FINANCE COMMITTEE will meet on Tuesday, January 6 at 7 PM to plan the 2009 church budget.
OUTREACH COMMITTEE will meet on Monday, January 12 at 5:30 PM.
CHURCH COUNCIL will meet on Tuesday, January 13 at 7 PM.
ANNUAL REPORTS OF ORGANIZATIONS are due in the church office anytime.
VOLUNTEER NEEDED to place orders for Equal Exchange coffee when needed. See Stu Smith for details.
DARTBALL TEAM - the 4-person tournament is at St. Paul starting at 7 PM on January 8. Next regular game will be Thursday, January 15 at 7:30 PM AT Trinity Evangelical with TEC A.
2009 ALTAR FLOWER CHART is now posted in Cross Hall. There are openings for January and February.
Wednesday January 7th KNOTTING PARTY (working on quilts for LWR) at North Salem, Co. Hwy. 44, starting at 8:30 AM. Come when you can and bring scissors. Leave when you must.
COOKBOOKS are still available and can be purchased for $12 each or $10 each if you purchase 2 or more copies. There are over 200 “tried and true” recipes included in the cookbook from members and friends of First Evangelical. Copies may be obtained anytime from the church office or by calling 419-294-3544. Copies are also available at Kimmel Cleaners and Koehler Drug.
PICTORIAL DIRECTORIES have arrived. Anyone who had pictures taken or submitted may pick up your free copy in the South Room. We have a few copies available for those not photographed at a cost of $5.
CATECHISM CLASS will meet on Sunday, January 11 from 4:30 – 8:00 PM here at First Evangelical.
GATHERING! Gathering at Christ, Carey at 11:30 – 1:00 on Sunday, January 11. High School youth attending New Orleans Gathering are expected to participate!
HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH – Pizza and Movie Night will be Sunday, January 18 at St. Paul Youth Room from 6-9 PM. All are welcome to participate.
NEXT WEEKEND is Companion Weekend. A special offering will be taken for scholarships and necessary repairs to the AYA School in Dodoma, Tanzania and a seminary scholarship for our Companion Synod in Serbia.
2009 OFFERING ENVELOPES – If you did not receive your box of 2009 offering envelopes, please contact Larry Bennett. Note the change in envelopes this year. Special offerings, such as next week’s Companion Weekend offering, can be included in your regular envelope and marked accordingly. Undesignated offerings support the Current Expenses of our congregation.
