THIS PAST WEEK:
The board met on Monday, June 29th and reviewed the past, present and future tasks of the board. It was Pastor Andrea’s last meeting with us so we discussed the transition of the board’s leadership. Reports were given from the Finance, Communication, Web and Community Garden committees. Pastor Andrea and Pastor Schibler shared with the board the timeline for Pastor Joe’s arrival. The board decided that we should have a potluck for his installation.
The Community Garden committee shared that one of the plots harvested its first crop, zucchini. In honor of Pastor Andrea’s last meeting, the three zucchini were given to her to share with her family and to thank her for being a part of the board’s decisions in starting the community garden.
The Board would like to thank everyone involved in assisting with Pastor Andrea’s last day as our interim. The potluck was full of great food and great fellowship. It was a blessing for us to see first-hand the work that Jesus has done in our partnership together. We will all miss Pastor Andrea and we all know that she is being called somewhere else to help another congregation find strength in Jesus and in their love for each other, just as she has helped us find our strength.
COMING UP NEXT:
The CMB will meet Monday, July 6 and July 20, 6:30-8pm at the annex. The July 13th meeting is cancelled due to council meetings.

August 2nd- Pastor Joe’s Installation as Sr. Pastor of Lutherans in Faith for Everyone (LIFE) 10am joint service to be held at St. Paul. There will be a potluck following service.
