Ascension Banner
Ascension of our Lord Banner
Acts 1:9

This banner is made on a white upholstery material.  White is the symbol of divinity, purity, joy and victory.  It  expresses the general feelings of happiness on all days of a joyous nature.

The Ascension of our Lord Christ, 40 days after His resurrection, is the climax of the work of the son of man on earth for our redemption.  Our Heavenly Father in majesty and mystery then took His Son to rule with Him in heaven.

Jesus' sacrificial work  on our behalf was finished, and to this day He sits as our advocate on the right hand of His Father.  We are secure in His saving grace.  Jesus said, "I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God". John 24:17.  Also Mark 16:19 says, "He was taken backup to heaven where He sat down at the right side of God."   Luke 24:51 says,   " He left and was taken up to heaven,"  and Acts 1:9, from which this banner was made,  "While they were watching,  He was taken up in a cloud."

The clouds are made of a white lame, with blue cording and white yarn outlining the clouds.  The golden rays from heaven to earth encircling  the crown, signifying Jesus being taken to heaven to sit at the right hand of God, is made of gold mesh material.   Jesus if made of flesh colored felt with  His features embroidered.  Red Beads mark the wounds of His hands and feet when He was crucified.  Jesus' clothing is made of burgundy and white metallic material outlined with gold and black cording.  The crown is made of gold metallic material.  The crown is a symbol borrowed directly from scripture.  Rev.2:10 and James 1:12 are two of several references that promise the crown of eternal life to those who follow Christ.  The banner is finished with burgundy fringe and with a pearl trim on top of the fringe.  Made  2001.
