last week in Lent

This banner was made for Ash Wednesday and Holy Week.  Holy Week is the last week in Lent, beginning with Palm Sunday.  It is given special attention because of its significance as a review of the events of the Passion of Christ.
Certain days of Holy Week have been given special significance.  The first  Palm Sunday which takes its name from Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
Thursday in Holy Week is the anniversary of the institution of the Lord's Supper which was held the evening before the crucifixion and is called Maundy Thursday.
