A New Beginning Banner - Noah's Ark
Noah's Ark - The flood - Coming off the Ark
Genesis 6 through Genesis 9

Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth.  Noah had no faults and he was the only good man of  this time.  He lived in fellowship with God, but everyone else was evil in God's sight, and violence had spread everywhere.  God said to Noah, "I have decided to put and end to mankind.  Build a boat out of timber.  Make it 450 ft. long 75 ft. wide and 45 ft. high.  I am going to send a flood on earth to destroy every living thing.  Every living thing on earth will die, but I will make a covenant with you.  Go into the boat with your wife, your sons and their wives.  Take into the boat with you a male and a female of every kind of animal and of every kind of bird.  Also take all food you will need for them."  Noah did everything the Lord commanded.  The rains came and the world was flooded.  The rain stopped and the water went down.  Noah sent a dove and when  it came back with an olive leaf, he knew it was time to open the door and let the animals out

This banner is of that time; when the animals leave the ark, so that they may reproduce and spread over all the earth.  Then Noah built an alter.  God told Noah and his sons, "I am making my promise with you and your descendants and all living beings.  I promise that never again will all living beings be destroyed by a flood.  As a sign of this promise whenever I cover the sky with clouds and a rainbow appears, I will remember my promise to you and all living things on earth".

This banner is made of several different patterns of cotton material.  The ark is a quilted and embroidered boat.  Many animals and birds are embroidered or patches, also using stones, earrings and buttons.  The rainbow is assorted colors of cording.  Assorted colors of beads throughout the banner with  the river being all beads.  The trees are all embroidery and bead work.  The banner is finished with blue fringe at the bottom and has blue matching tassels.  This banner was finished in 2005.
