Christmas/Epiphany Banner
Bethlehem
"Light Has Come Into The World"
This banner is made of white felt and uses various shades of gold metallic
material to coordinate with the gold and white Chrismons on the Christmas
tree. White, the liturgical color for the Christmas season, suggests
the innocence, purity, and perfection of our Savior and the joy we feel
at His birth. Gold is symbolic of His majesty, glory and triumph.
God's promise to Abraham is shown by many small stars and, together
with the large star, show that now the promise has been fulfilled.
The gold star has the Greek letter Rho (P), at the very top and one ray
points downward to the spot where Jesus is born. This signifies God
came down to man.
We see the silhouette of the peaceful town of Bethlehem made of a dark
coppery gold metallic material. From this small insignificant town
illuminated by the Star, rays of light radiate out to cover the whole world
just as Christ was given to the whole world. The rays of various
shades of gold metallic material tell us "Light has indeed come into the
world." The banner is finished with gold fringe.
