This banner for the Easter Season is made of white felt, the color of purity and joy--joy in our risen Lord and in the newness of life He brings.
The many colored butterfly is used as a symbol of the resurrection.  Just as a butterfly emerges from a seemingly dead and lifeless cocoon, so Christ rose from the three days in the cold and lifeless tomb.  We, too, shall rise from death to new life in Him.  Because we have this hope of salvation, this new life in Christ begins even now--a bright and joy-filled life of service to our Risen Lord.
