Annual Congregational Meeting

Meeting called to order by President Paul Baum with prayer.

Last years minutes were read and approved. Motion to accept by Dennis Kimmel, seconded by Pat Dickey, Motion carried.

New Officers for next year will be Marilyn Lee, president: Beth McDermott, V.P.: Darlene Mooney, secretary: Juanita Billeg, Treasurer,: and Carol Kimmel Financial Treasurer.

OLD BUSINESS: The stumps out front will be taken down by theKimmel Family. The kitchen discussed on what to do with dishes to free up room in cupboards.

NEW BUSINESS: Budget then lookd over for 2006. Added home Equity of $500.00. Total Budgeted for 2006 $66,892.00 First Sunday Sunday school money (10%) will be given to benevolence Phil McGuire so moved, and this was seconded by Russell Lee. Motion Carried.

Motion made by Wayne Holzwart to approve all budgets, seconded by Dorothy Gottfried. Motion Carried.

Those on Cementary Association are Bill Schmidt, Lyle Weaver, Arden Mittermaier, Eric Goodman, Lynn Gottfried, and Russell Lee. Marilyn Lee made the motion to reelect Paul Karg, Lew Gottfried, and Dennis Orwickseconded by Marge Fory, Motion carried.

Nominating Committee for Council next year and synod assembly will be Robin Goodman, Phyllis Weaver, Wayne Holzwart, motion to close by Marilyn Lee, seconded by Teresa Shaffer, motion carried.

Audit committee discussed, it was then ask the Finance Committee to discuss this at Council Meetin.

Remarks then made by Pastor Julie.

Annual Congregational Meeting


The meeting was called to order by Charlene McGuire with Prayer.  Last years minutes were then read by Carolyn Fruth, Secretary.  Juanita made the motion to accept the minutes and Salesa Holloway seconded, Motion carried.
Charlene then thanked everyone for helping this past year and for every one coming and to all church council members.

She reported on LIP meeting at Camp Mowana.  All things done by the LIP Committees. Program we need to pray for Youth and Families.  All agreed we are Lutherans In Partnership and the 3 Pastor’s will continue to support LIP.  The meeting was then turned over to Paul Baum our next President.

Pastor spoke on his reports of 2004 and asked for our prayers.

The reports were then looked at.  Juanita commented on  the 2005 budget.  5% raise on all salaries.   The financial report was then discussed.  We got money from Estates this year which upped the total.  Russ Lee reported cementary association.  No activity.  Also reported on investments as of Dec. 31, 2004.  Lew  Gottfried reported on building fund.  New furnace was paid for out of this fund and the new banner cabinet  which Tom Utley is building will also come out of this fund. Motion to accept reports made by Dorothy Gottfried and seconded by June Eier, Motion Carried.
NEW BUSINESS.   For nominating committee.  4 from floor which were Elaine Yirga Lela Sweigard, Bill Schmidt, Mary Orwick.  Dennis Kimmel made the motion to accept the 4 for committee and Teresa Shaffer Seconded, Motion Carried.  We then nominated members for Cemetery Committee:  Lyle Weaver, Arden Mittermaier, Bill Schmidt, Tim Koehler, Paul Baum.  We voted for 3.  Bill Schmidt, Arden Mittermaier, and Lyle Weaver will be the new members on the Cemetery Committee.

Time Change then discussed and reported on.   Stay the same all year long at 10 am or remain as we have been doing it in the past  which is 9am in summer and 10 am in winter.  We voted on this and we will keep it like it has been in the past.  9 am in summer and 10 am in winter.  Motion made by Carolyn Fruth, seconded my Mitchel Grenwalt, motion
carried.

Carolyn discussed leaving stumps out front when the trees are removed to have a carving put in them if possible.
Motion made to leave stumps at 8 ft high if possible by Russ Lee and seconded by Marilyn Lee.  Motion carried.

Motion to adjourn meeting made by Dennis Kimmel and seconded by Teresa Shaffer.  Motion carried.  We all went to basement for pot luck lunch.
