Ship: Embroidery and Beads - When a ship, a place of refuge, is portrayed with mast shaped like a cross, it is usually understood to be the church.

Lamb: Embroidery and Beads -  No longer wounded, but standing with the banner of victory, suggesting the victorious nature of His sacrifice.

Butterfly: Sequins - Symbol of the resurrection and eternal life.

Triangle and Circles: From old alter paraments - Symbol of the Trinity, three circles, indicate the doctrine of the equality, unity and co-eternal nature of the three persons of the Trinity.

Bursting Pomegranate: Embroidery and Beads - Symbol of the resurrection and the power of our Lord, who was able to burst the tomb and come forth.  The many seeds suggest the unity and oneness of Christ's many believers.

Grapes: Embroidery and Beads - The bunch of grapes signifies the sacrament of the Holy Communion.

Cock: Embroidery - The crowing of the cock is a warning to Peter as to his steadfastness of faith and as a rebuke of his weakness. (Mark 14:72) 

Wheat: Embroidery and Beads - Symbolizes the Bread of Life. (Mark 14:22)

Dove: From old paraments - Descending dove with three rayed nimbus around its head symbolizes the Holy Spirit.

Star and Manger: Beads - The manger is a symbol of the nativity. The nimbus above the manger indicates the child within and the star points to where the newborn Jesus was born.

IHS: From an old stole. - The first three letters of the Greek spelling of Jesus.

Sun IHC: Embroidery and Beads - Made up of the Iesugram symbol placed in the circle of eternity and with the flames shooting out in every direction suggest the "Sun of Righteousness" mentioned in Malachi 4:2.

Palm:  Beads - Branches of the palm tree, regarded as sacred from early Semitic times, were carried by the Jews as a triumphant rejoicing. (John 12:13)

Stork: Outline embroidery - Symbolizes chastity, prudence, and vigilance associated with the annunciation because as the stork announces the coming of spring, the annunciation to Mary indicated the Advent of Christ.

The Cross Treffle:  Symbol on old parament - A beautiful form of cross with all areas equal with the ends formed as tresfolds.

Crown Of Thorns: Embroidery - A mockery crown, symbol of humiliation and suffering, placed by the soldiers and emposed upon Jesus during His trial before Pilate (Ohm 19:2)

Lutheran Emblem: Beads - Luther's Coat of Arms - The black rose on  a red heart (faith in Christ who died and rose again) rests on a white rose (joy, comfort, and peace beyond that of this world) in a sky blue field (beginning of a heavenly joy) and is encircled with a gold ring (the eternal and precious possession of salvation).

Fish: Embroidery - The secret sign used by the early persecuted Christians to designate themselves as believers of Jesus.
