The Latin cross is made of white felt placed on lavender felt.  The base for the banner is made on purple felt, indicating a penitential period.  The cross is a modern day drawing of the Latin cross.  The lavender cross is a background cross for the white cross.  This cross symbolizes the triumph of the Savior over the sin of the world.  The crosses are outlined with brown yarn.  The banner is finished with gold fringe.
