Dial-up Networking (Text Version)

Configuration of the Dial-up Networking for use with UDATAnet

These are the correct setting for the Dial-up Networking in Windows 95/98 to connect to
UDATAnet.

Be on the power up screen where all your icons are located.

Step 1: Double left click on the *MY COMPUTER icon, located on your main Desktop.
 
Step 2: Double left click on the *Dial-up Networking icon.

Step 3: RIGHT single click on the *UDATAnet phone icon.
(or whatever icon you use to call UDATAnet)

Step 4: Left single click on the *Properties option.

Step 5: Left single Click on the *Server Type button at bottom right or *Server Type tab at top on box.

Step 6: Make sure these settings have a Black Check
Make sure LOG ON TO NETWORK is NOT checked.
*Enable software compression.
*TCP/IP should have a Black Check in the bottom section.
Then left single click on the TCP/IP Settings button.

Step 7: Verify that these settings have a Black Dot
*Server Assigned IP address and
*Server assigned name server addresses.

***Be sure to click on the OK button to save any changes.

This completes the configuration of the Dial-Up Networking option in Windows 95/98
