Configuration of the Network options
These are the correct setting for the Network settings in Windows
95/98 to connect
to UDATAnet.
Be sure to on power up screen where your icons are located.
Step 1: Double left click on the *MY COMPUTER icon, located on your main Desktop.
Double left click on *Control Panel.
Double left Click on *Network to display the Network Screen.
The following components are required to connect to UDATAnet:
****Client for Microsoft Networks, Dial-Up Adapter &
TCP/IP (Microsoft Family Logon may also be in this list)
NetBEUI is not required.
****Be sure to have Client for Microsoft
Networks choose for the Primary Network Logon.
Left single click on the *TCP/IP component to highlight, then choose the *Properties button below.
Click in the Gateway tab and verify the settings are *Blank.
Click on the Bindings tab and verify the settings shows *Client for Microsoft Networks & or Microsoft Family Logon.
Click in the WINS Configuration tab and verify a black dot is on *Disable WINS Resolution.
Click on the Advanced tab and verify the setting shows *None.
Click on the IP Address tab and verify the setting has a black dot in *Obtain an IP Address Automatically.
Click on the DNS Configuration tab and verify the setting has a black dot in *Disable DNS.
***Click on ALL OK buttons when finished.
If any changes were made your computer may request that you
restart your computer to complete the changes.
***If a message asks to insert Windows 95 or 98 CD, make sure you
follow the instructions and insert the CD. These files are missing
from your computer and have to be replaced. This message may or may not
happen.
***Be sure and choose YES button to restart.
This completes the NETWORK setup option in Windows 95/98
