This is a transcription from a manuscript by William Kennedy
Beall, late assistant quartermaster to General James Taylor who in turn
was under the command of Brigadier General William Hull - the leader of
the American expedition from Kentucky to confront the British forces in,
and around, the western basin of Lake Erie. It is a record of his capture
by the British near Fort Malden and his internment from July 5, 1812 to
August 4, 1812. 65 pages.
