Purposes of the Society

To support the objectives of the Ohio Genealogical Society
-
To create and build interest in preserving and collecting historical records
of Wyandot County and related areas of Ohio
-
To take an active part in collecting records and in making them available
for use in genealogical research

To aid individuals in research and link those doing the same family lines
-
To educate members on genealogy and local history
Activities of the Society
-
A newsletter is published six times a year with announcements, queries
and relevant genealogical items
-
Donation of local history books. periodicals, manuscripts and microfilm
to local library
-
Field trips to research libraries and historical societies
-
Pioneer Families:
-
Honors those who are able to prove an ancestor in Wyandot County prior
to 1860 for a Silver Pioneer and prior to 1850 for a Gold Pioneer. Application
forms available upon request
-
Pioneer Families Dinner honoring those members accepted into the Pioneer
Families of Wyandot County
Meetings
The Wyandot Tracers meet the third Monday of each month at 6:30 PM in
the Upper Sandusky Community Library, unless otherwise announced.
